Established in 2021 alongside the institute, the Department of Biochemistry is dedicated to academic excellence, medical research, patient care, and paramedic training. Our vision is to empower future medical professionals with cutting-edge Biochemistry education, fostering innovation and critical thinking. We strive to equip Indian Medical Graduates (IMGs) with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in patient care, advance healthcare solutions, and drive transformative changes in medical science globally.

Academic Activities

The department conducts undergraduate (MBBS) theory and practical classes following NMC and CBME guidelines. Our teaching methodologies include:

  • Case-based learning
  • Problem-based learning
  • Early clinical exposure
  • Flipped classrooms
  • Quizzes, seminars, and integrated seminars
  • Student projects, assignments, and concept maps
  • Small and large group discussions

Additionally, students are introduced to research and actively participate in All India-level quizzes and other competitions.

Patient Care

The CCL Biochemistry Laboratory provides 24x7 diagnostic services, ensuring continuous patient support.

Research

Faculty members engage in research spanning basic sciences, clinical studies, and medical education. Undergraduate students are encouraged to collaborate with faculty to develop research skills and contribute to scientific advancements.

CME / Workshops / Training

The department regularly organizes CMEs, workshops, and training sessions to promote continuous learning. Faculty members and lab technicians actively participate in training programs, CMEs, and conferences to stay updated with the latest developments in the field.
